The hot air balloon is an exciting example of a decorative and scientific instrument- an experiment that worked. A crazy idea that ascended into the air. Louis the XVI sponsored the first flight of the hot air balloon in France-passengers included a sheep, duck and rooster. All passengers survived the two mile flight. Afterwards, Marie Antoinette (who was in attendance) celebrated with champagne. We believe in ideas. Science and Art continue to be connected. Supporting innovation is a risk-worth taking.
